Overview

The HubSpot x LinkedIn Ambassador Program is a 7-week virtual program designed to give students the knowledge and skills needed to build, manage, and analyze LinkedIn Ad campaigns for growing businesses.

3 weeks were spent in a boot camp-style training to learn how to incorporate LinkedIn ads into digital marketing strategies. Then I was matched with a client for 4 weeks to help optimize LinkedIn ads.


Steps Included

LinkedIn Advertising

The goal throughout this program was to learn how to optimize LinkedIn Ads for our assigned client.

Upon starting the program, all participants underwent virtual training via Zoom twice a week, led by industry professionals on bidding strategies, different ad types, design tactics, and every essential element that goes into a LinkedIn Ad.

Throughout the training, we were often paired into groups where we had to create an ad campaign for a certain target audience, as well as complete homework assignments. Such as obtaining the HubSpot Marketing Software and LinkedIn Marketing Strategy certifications.

After completing the training sessions, all participants applied to be paired with a client through Parker Dewey. I had the opportunity to work with a company based in South Africa, called GWork.io.

GWork.io is a company that can target and help implement small changes to unlock vast organizational and individual growth. Their expertise in organizational transformation, underpinned by years of behavioral science research, forms the backbone of their technology.

Beyond this point, my responsibility included spending 30+ hours learning the best ways to optimize LinkedIn ads for my client. My client and I met over Microsoft Teams to discuss company goals and other resources. Getting to know the client and the company goals was crucial to starting LinkedIn Ad implementation.

    Accessed the client’s business page and helped the client set up a Campaign Manager Account. LinkedIn certification was completed here.

    Slack was used to communicate with program directors, professors, and other team members. Any info needed could be found here.

My Success

I designed two ads for my client: one for lead generation and another for website traffic.

The lead generation ad included creating a form and a call-to-action. Both ads were created in HubSpot and connected to the client's LinkedIn page, so once published, they would go live on LinkedIn.

Although I do not have access to any analytics, I learned a lot about the intricacies of LinkedIn advertising. I will continue to utilize this knowledge and my newfound skills in my future experiences as a digital marketer.
