Overview

The Digital Marketing Center, DMC, at Baldwin Wallace University, allows students to gain additional experience and skillsets in digital marketing whilst working for clients.

Working with my client, the Tea Lab, my role included a complete brand audit and to develop a content strategy.

As a team, we work on tasks collectively, and share our ideas in weekly meetings. Our goal was to help our client re-brand their e-commerce site, and their social media platforms to help increase sales and reach to new customers via e-commerce and their brick and mortar store with digital marketing strategies.

My Process

Digital Presence Audit

The goal behind completing a brand audit is to present a complete review of the brands presence on e-commerce, socials, and give them ideas to help improve their business.

Steps included:

  1. Client E-Commerce & Social Review

  2. Competitor Review

  3. Recommendations

  4. Presentation to the Client

The client's e-commerce and social media review began with a comprehensive analysis of their website to identify inconsistencies in graphics, copy, colors, product information layout, and navigation ease. The social media review involved evaluating content quality, posting schedule, and customer engagement. A competitor review was conducted to assess their digital presence, including product categorization, features, promotions, social media design, and consistency across platforms. This process aimed to gather ideas for our client.

Subsequently, recommendations were provided, including tips for improving the client's e-commerce website graphics, product content consistency, categorization, and navigation. Social media recommendations covered graphics, themes, and posting schedules. Finally, a comprehensive presentation was made to the client, covering content ideas, a full review of their socials and site, competitor analysis, and strengths and weaknesses.
